This information has recently been updated, and is now available. 12-08-2014 12:00 AM BST The EBRD is considering providing a senior secured loan of up to USD 24 million to finance the construction of a 20 MW solar photovoltaic plant located approximately 11 km to the south east of Ma'an City in Jordan. The project is being developed by European Jordanian Renewable Energy Projects LLC (Jordan) and Scatec Solar AS (Norway). It will be one of the first utility-scale solar plants in Jordan and will support the country in increasing its renewable energy capacity and reducing its reliance on costly hydrocarbon imports.
